KATHMANDU, Nov 3: Gold traders have sold gold worth nearly Rs 7 billion during Tihar festival this year. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, gold jewelry and ornaments were in high demand during the festival.

Jewelry has always been a big part of our ensemble, be it at weddings or formal events. But these days, however, especially among the younger generations, jewelry made of inexpensive metal, stones, and beads are more popular than items made from silver or gold.

BAJHANG, June 1: Locals of Talkot Rural Municipality-5 in Bajhang district have constructed a six kilometer long road in their village by selling ornaments and keeping their land as collateral to raise the required fund.
