HUMLA, Dec 14: Humla was the only Himalayan district left to be linked with a national road network. It has now been connected to a road network. Three rural municipalities – Tanjakot, Adanchuli and Sarkegad-- have been connected with the national road network.

BAJURA, Jan 19: In one month's time Humla will finally be connected to the national road network. The installation of a bailey bridge over the Kawadi river in between Bajura and Humla will connect Humla by a motorable road.

KATHMANDU, Dec 21: Simikot, district headquarters of Humla, is soon going to be connected to national road network.

PANCHTHAR, July 21: Some eastern hill districts including Panchthar, Taplejung, and Tehrathum have been disconnected from the national road network since Thursday morning due to a huge landslide along the Mechi Highway at Pangrebhir.

MUGU, July 1: Ever since Gamgadhi, the district headquarters of Mugu, was linked to the national road network on December 16, 2012, every village started constructing roads in their neighbourhood. The competition among the villages resulted in opening of tracks in many areas. But that gave rise to one problem – operation of vehicles without route permit.
