KATHMANDU, March 6: The government has introduced new regulations making it mandatory for all online TVs including Youtube channels to receive operating license. The government has set Rs 500,000 as a fee to get license to operate online televisions.

KATHMANDU, Feb 7: The upper house of parliament removed controversial provisions on mandatory licensing for all working journalists and licensing examinations for aspiring new journalists from the much-talked-about Media Council Bill on Thursday.
