BENGALURU, Jan 1: India has approved its third lunar mission months after its last one failed to successfully land on the moon, its space agency said on Wednesday, the latest effort in its ambitions to become a low-cost space power.

On July 21, 1969, astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were the first men to set foot on the moon.

BENGALURU, June 12: India said on Wednesday it will launch its second lunar mission in mid-July, as it moves to consolidate its status as a leader in space technology by achieving a controlled landing on the moon.
