IRD issues directive to act tough against sale and distribution of illegally imported liquor

KATHMANDU, June 27: In a bid to crack down on the illicit trade of smuggled liquor, the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) has issued a directive instructing police authorities to act against the sale and distribution of illegally imported alcohol. IRD has stated that both domestic and foreign liquors must be sold only with affixed excise stickers and exclusively by authorized vendors.
Nepal Liquors launches Royal Challenge Whisky

KATHMANDU, April 10: Nepal Liquors Ltd has launched Royal Challenge Whisky in the Nepali market. Issuing a statement on Monday, the company said that the whisky costs Rs 1,360 for 750 ml, Rs 680 for 375 ml and Rs 340 for 180 ml packs.
