TAPLEJUNG, June 19: Keshar Bahadur Rai, who had gone missing in a landslide last night in Mehele Muku Bhanjyang in Taplejung, has been found dead. The dead body of Keshar was recovered on the same day his son Suresh Rai, who was initially rescued in an injured state, breathed his last while undergoing treatment.

PHUNGLING, June 19 : The Koshi provincial government has announced an immediate relief of Rs 100,000 each to the families of people killed in the flood and landslide in various districts of the province.

KATHMANDU, June 19: At least three people were killed and 30 others went missing in massive floods and landslides triggered by Saturday night’s incessant rainfall in the hill districts of eastern Nepal. Taplejung, Sankhuwasabha and Panchthar districts were the most affected after the monsoon entered the country a few days ago. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, monsoon entered Nepal on June 14 this year.

NEPALGUNJ, Sept 17: The water level in Rapti river at Kusum, Banke, has crossed six meters due to incessant rainfall. It is considered dangerous when the water level in the river reaches above 5 meters and 40 centimeters.

KATHMANDU, Oct 21: Incessant rains have inflicted 30 percent loss to the expected paddy crops output in Chitwan. The rainfall with wind storm caused damages to harvest-ready paddy plantation.

POKHARA, June 15: Incessant rainfall for the past few days has triggered floods in  Manang district, inundating most houses at Taalgaun of Naso Rural Municipality on Tuesday.

KATHMANDU, July 15: Incessant rainfall across the country has contributed to minimize the effects of locust swarms that entered Nepal from India, according to agriculture officials.
