ATHENS, July 12: Greece’s new government says it is recognizing Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido as the country’s interim president, saying this would align Greece with the European Union’s joint position.

The United States and more than 50 other countries have recognised Juan Guaidó as Venezuela’s legitimate leader.

BRUSSELS, Jan 31:  The European Parliament recognized Venezuela’s self-declared interim president Juan Guaido as de facto head of state on Thursday, heightening international pressure on the OPEC member’s socialist President Nicolas Maduro.
