BANKE, May 1: Mohammad Aayatulla Rahaman operates a travel agency near Rajha Airport of Nepalgunj. About six months ago, he was preparing to send 15 passengers to Humla by a Tara Air chartered plane. JUMLA, Jan 1: With the temperature plummeting, normal life in five districts of Karnali region – Kalikot, Humla, Mugu, Dolpa and Jumla – has been put off gear, but the seasonal snowfall is yet to take place.

POKHARA, Dec 5: The mercury is falling for the past few days in Manang and Mustang, the districts beyond the Himalaya, forcing the people to shift to lower areas to evade cold.  Highland areas above Chame, the district headquarters of Manang, have now recorded the minus temperature.

CHANDRA AYODHYAPUR, Siraha, Sept 16: Fulkumari Sadaya of Chandra Ayodhyapur-6 gave birth to a baby recently. Her family spent Rs 50,000 on the delivery, which they managed by taking loans. Even during the birth of an earlier child, the family had to borrow money to meet the cost of delivery.
