Banks yet to extend access in three local levels

KATHMANDU, August 23: Financial access has reached 750 local levels of the country. A study has shown that banks and financial institutions are yet to reach only three local levels in the country. With the expansion of the banks at the local level, financial access in Nepal has increased by 6.44 percent in one year.
National Census being held to collect data including financial access for the first time

KATHMANDU, April 8: The national census being held this year after a gap of 10 years will collect data on people's financial access, bank account, number of houses built on government grants and their structure. It is the first time such data is being collected in the census.
