KHOTANG, Oct 1: Even though the government has hiked transportation fare by 10 percent, transport entrepreneurs in Khotang have agreed not to hike the fare considering the commuters' woes during the festive season.
BANEPA, March 30: As many as 14 transport committees have waged a fierce war against Mayur Yatayat transportation service in Banepa, Dhulikhel. As this newly introduced transportation service posed threat to their strong syndicate along the Araniko Highway, the other transport entrepreneurs have united against it. Demanding cancelation of its Kathmandu-Banepa route permit, the entrepreneurs have threatened to bring transportation service to a halt in several areas of Kavre in case their demand is not fulfilled.
KATHMANDU, April 7: The Nepal government has decided to exempt various governmental and non-governmental organizations from paying the air fare arrears amounting to around Rs 32 million at the request of the Defense Ministry.

KATHMANDU, Oct 4: Although the government has said that it has emerged tough against the transport entrepreneurs fleecing passengers, people using the public transport have complained of excessive bus fare within the capital city.
KATHMANDU, Aug 25: The Department of Transport Management (DoTM) is to take action against vehicles, operating their service from Kathmandu to Sindhuli-Bardibas via Dhulikhel if they are found taking more than the determined transport fare.
