EXETER, July 25: The new study states that several economically important species will be affected by the elevated levels of CO2. Since the Industrial Revolution, oceanic CO2 has risen by 43 percent, which is expected to grow two and a half times the current levels by the end of this century.

For the first time in recorded history, the average monthly level of CO2 in the atmosphere exceeded 410 parts per million in April, according to observations at the Mauna Loa Observatory in Hawaii.

GENEVA, Oct 30: The amount of carbon dioxide in the earth’s atmosphere grew at record rate in 2016 to a level not seen for millions of years, potentially fuelling a 20-meter rise in sea levels and adding 3 degrees to temperatures, the United Nations said on Monday.
