TULSHIPUR, Jan 15: The crusher plants have been shut down in Dang as the Ministry of Home Affairs ordered the immediate closure of illegal crushers operating against the norms. On January 4, the ministry issued an instruction and on January 5, the District Administration Office, Dang, issued a public notice and instructed to close all the crusher plants in the district.

GORKHA, Nov 30: The District Administration Office (DAO) in Gorkha has asked all the local level governments in the district to stop operation of crusher industries that are making illegal excavation of sands and stones.

DHANUSHA, Jan 12: Police on Saturday arrested a driver and owner of a crusher industry accused of murdering a young activist Om Prakash Mahato for raising voice against illegal extraction of aggregate from a local river in Dhanusha.

SURKHET, Nov 20: After Mahendra Bahadur Shahi, chief minister of Karnali Province, was pressurized to bring about some changes in the work procedure to support the crusher industry, the Karnali government is preparing to amend the work procedure – which will support the crusher plant which are being operated illegally in the region.

RUKUM, March 31: A crusher industry is reportedly operating illegally for over two years on the banks of the Sanibheri river, in Sanibheri Rural Municipality, Rukum (west).
