NAWALPUR, Sept 24: Whiteflies have infected the paddy crop at a seed-bearing time in the majority of places of Nawalparasi East district, according to the Agriculture Knowledge Center in the district.

OKHALDHUNGA, Aug 8: Maize planted in 5,700 hectares of land in Okhaldhunga district has been damaged due to drought. The crop was damaged by the drought caused between mid-May to mid-July.

Vegetable, tea and coffee farmers in the eastern region have expressed concerns to time-to-time obstruction in export of their produce to the Indian market. They complain that the southern neighbor restricts their produces to enter its market stating shortage in demands.

Paddy crop destroyed by landslide

JAJARKOT, Sept 23: Paddy cultivated in 25 ropani of land in ward no. 4 of Kushe rural municipality in the district was damaged in a landslide last night.
