KATHMANDU, Feb 24: As part of a concerted effort to provide essential healthcare services, 52 hospitals within the Kathmandu Metropolitan City have pledged to offer free treatment to the target group.

CHITWAN, July 6: The Bharatpur-based BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital in Chitwan will get 300 additional beds to the existing 194.

KATHMANDU, Dec 30: At least 12 hospitals across the country are found to be operating without a single hospital bed and another 25, including regional and zonal hospitals, have less than the number of beds sanctioned for them by the government.

KATHMANDU, Dec 13: The government and private hospitals have agreed to provide 10 percent of beds free of cost to the poor and helpless people from December 16. Nursing homes, clinics, community hospitals, non-government hospitals and private medical colleges will provide this facility to the needy.

KATHMANDU, Dec 12: The government is all set to enforce the provision of allocating 10 percent of the total beds in the government and private hospitals to the poor, underprivileged, aged citizens, single women and disabled and provide them treatment free of cost.
