KATHMANDU, Feb 16: The 'Prakriti: Installation Art Exhibition 2024' has opened in Kathmandu. The month-long art expo is organized by Nepal Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), Department of Architecture and Other Creative Arts (Multidisciplinary Arts) in partnership with the Gallery Mcube.

KATHMANDU, June 23: An art exhibition featuring the works of 34 Nepalis artists has begun at the Nepal Art Council in Babarmahal on Friday. The event supported by the Embassy of Bangladesh in Kathmandu will continue for the next two days.

KATHMANDU, Nov 29:  An art exhibition titled “Deities of Nepal” is being held at Nepal Art Council on the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of Nepal Art Council and 50th anniversary of Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal from November 27 to December 10, 2022.

One can see variety of art works such as landscape, portraits, surrealistic art, installation, traditional art, botanical art, etc, under single roof; also it is a window to understand new generation of artists having academic background in Fine Arts.

Striving for sustenance

Alliance Française Kathmandu is organizing an art exhibition at Dhalko Bato, Pulchowk on July 16, Tuesday. The exhibition will last until the end of July.

The ninth National Art Exhibition at Nepal Art Council, organized by Nepal Academy of Fine Arts began on May 16. The exhibition features contemporary painting, contemporary sculpture,folk art, handicraft, traditional painting,traditional sculpture,installation,architecture and other creative art, performance art and photography. In the exhibition, there are a total of 97 artworks on display that explore nature, culture, tradition, expression, religion and more. The exhibition showcases artworks of veteran artists including Shashi Bikram Shah, Batsa Gopal Vaidya, Krishna Manandhar, Madan Chitrakar, Shyam Lal Shrestha, Ashok Man Singh among others.

The exhibition featured SAA scholarship students supported by professional artists. SAA has been providing scholarship to 90 students. This 'Art Exhibition' is themed on “Nepal India Friendship”. SAA has been providing scholarship opportunities to talented and committed but financially limited and underprivileged Nepali children and youth since last seven years. All participants for this exhibition have been Academy’s scholars for the last five years.
