KATHMANDU, Feb 16: The 'Prakriti: Installation Art Exhibition 2024' has opened in Kathmandu. The month-long art expo is organized by Nepal Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), Department of Architecture and Other Creative Arts (Multidisciplinary Arts) in partnership with the Gallery Mcube.

KATHMANDU, June 23: An art exhibition featuring the works of 34 Nepalis artists has begun at the Nepal Art Council in Babarmahal on Friday. The event supported by the Embassy of Bangladesh in Kathmandu will continue for the next two days.

One week long exhibition kicked off on September 22 that features around 150 representative artworks by girls.

Siddhartha Art Gallery (SAG) established by eminent artist Shashikala Tiwari and Sangeeta Thapa in Pratap Bhawan Complex in Kantipath has been showcasing artworks of talented artist since September 28, 1987.

Bidhata has been showcasing the theme of architectural beauty intertwined with history, culture and religion of Mustang since, her visit to Mustang few years ago. Before, that she consistently used leaves as her major motif in her painting, comparing their characteristics with life in general.

An art exhibition at The Taragaon Museum, located in Bouddha, Kathmandu, sees a turnout of around 250 people a day. However, according to various museum curators, good turnouts like these are limited to either exhibitions of well-known artists or contemporary art showcases in well-known galleries. If these criteria aren’t met, the circumstances paint fairly bleak picture.

When an artist holds the brush against the canvas their hands move simultaneously to complete the art. Art is created with immense passion. And many youngsters are being attracted toward creating art not just as a hobby but accepting it as their profession.

Alliance Française Kathmandu is organizing an art exhibition at Dhalko Bato, Pulchowk on July 16, Tuesday. The exhibition will last until the end of July.

In the exhibition, there are a total of 97 artworks on display that explore nature, culture, tradition, expression, religion and more. The exhibition showcases artworks of veteran artists including Shashi Bikram Shah, Batsa Gopal Vaidya, Krishna Manandhar, Madan Chitrakar, Shyam Lal Shrestha, Ashok Man Singh among others.

The exhibition featured SAA scholarship students supported by professional artists. SAA has been providing scholarship to 90 students. This 'Art Exhibition' is themed on “Nepal India Friendship”. SAA has been providing scholarship opportunities to talented and committed but financially limited and underprivileged Nepali children and youth since last seven years. All participants for this exhibition have been Academy’s scholars for the last five years.

Siddhartha Art Gallery is currently showcasing an exhibition of etchings ‘Seduction of Printmaking II | 2019’. In the exhibition, the prints on display are the works made during a printmaking workshop conducted by the collective Printmaking Nepal.

The Karnali- Photo Exhibition hosted by Nepal River Conservation Trust (NRCT) began on March 16 at Nepal Art Council, Babermahal.
