Possibility of work-from-home in Nepal

One of the most notable shifts, especially after the global COVID-19 outbreak, has been the rise of remote work, allowing employees to work from the comfort of their homes. The concept of work from home, often referred to as remote work or telecommuting, has gained significant popularity in western countries, especially in Europe.

KATHMANDU, March 29: The use of internet bandwidth has increased by 25% in recent days due to the nationwide lockdown. The lockdown has forced people to work from home and children are also using the internet for entertainment and educational purposes.

The largest tech companies including Apple, Google, Amazon, and Oracle have already rolled out mandatory remote work (Work From Home) policies as one of their measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection.
