The committee formed on February 2 was initially given 10 days to come up with a report and its deadline is expiring Wednesday.

KATHMANDU, Jan 31: As the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) continues to be divide over the $500 million US grant, party leaders have stressed the need for a common understanding whether to endorse or reject it, before it gets tabled in parliament.

KATHMANDU, Dec22: The standing committee meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party has been prolonged after top leaders couldn’t make a clear position on whether to endorse the $500 million grant provided under the Millennium Challenge Corporation as agreed earlier.
