KABUL, July 19: An explosion on Friday near a gate to the campus of Kabul University in the Afghan capital killed six people and injured at least 27 as students waited to take an examination, officials said.

QUETTA, June 26: A police constable was killed and five people injured in Pakistan on Wednesday, following a gun battle with Taliban militants at a police housing and training complex, security officials said.

LASHKAR GAH, AFGHANISTAN, June 13: A total of 11 militants have been confirmed dead after fighting aircrafts pounded some Taliban hideouts in Nad Ali and Marja districts of the southern Helmand province of Afghanistan, media reports said referring to a statement released by the Afghan Army on Thursday.

KABUL, Dec 31: At least 25 Taliban militants were killed after the Afghan Air Force launched airstrikes in eastern Wardak province, 35 km west of Kabul, Xinhua News Agency reported on Monday quoting the country's Ministry of Defense.
