MAHOTTARI, Oct 31: The Chhath –a festival of faith of folks in Mithila region concluded this morning by offering curd (Argha) to the rising Sun.

KATHMANDU, Oct 30: The main ritual of the four-day Chhath festival is being observed today by worshiping and making offerings to the setting sun.

MAHOTTARI, Oct 28: The Chhath festival fervor has gripped the Mithila region including Mahottari and the festival has formally commenced from today. People's mobility has increased in and around the region ahead of the four-day grand festival in which the 'Sun God' is worshiped.

KATHMANDU, Nov 14: Chhath is celebrated all across the country including Kathmandu. The three-day long festival is celebrated by worshipping Sun God and fasting by married women for the familial harmony and prosperity. It began on Monday this year and ends on Wednesday.

RAUTAHAT, Nov 14: Devotees observed the Chhath festival by making offerings to the setting sun on Tuesday. The festival of goodwill and faith will come to an end after they make the final offering on Wednesday morning.
