KATHMANDU, Feb 6: Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security, Krishna Kumar Shrestha will be heading off to the UAE next week for the management of Nepalis stranded there. Minister Shrestha will negotiate with the UAE government for the management of Nepalis who went to the UAE on tourist and other visas but are stranded there.

KATHMANDU, May 15: The main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) has demanded that the government facilitate the Nepalis stranded in the border areas to enter Nepal without any risk of COVID-19.

BAITADI, April 30: Nepali migrant workers, who were stranded in various border towns in India due to the lockdown, are returning home today after one month.

DOTI, April 12: Twenty two families from Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality-8 of Doti district are currently stranded in Haliyal, Banglore of India due to the lockdown, imposed by both India and Nepal. Neither are they able to return home, nor do they have enough money and food left to survive in an alienated land. It has been about a month since the daily wage earners are locked inside their rooms. And it is not sure when the situation will be normal.
