KATHMANDU, Dec 26: The reconstruction work of 30 heritage sites located at Hanumandhoka Durbar Square that was damaged in 2015 earthquake has been completed. The reconstruction work, which was halted due to COVID-19, is now in full swing.
KATHMANDU, Nov 25: Former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli hastily inaugurated Dharahara on April 24 without the completion of construction of all the infrastructure. Prior to Oli's inauguration, more than 400 workers worked day and night to complete the construction of the tower.
KATHMANDU, Sept 16: The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has started handing over the remaining reconstruction work of private houses and other structures damaged by the 2015 earthquake to the authorities concerned. The reconstruction works of private housing, settlement development, government and public buildings, health and educational institutions, monasteries, roads and bridges were handed over to different authorities at a program organized by NRA.
KATHMANDU, August 4: Rs 8.95 million has been allocated for the reconstruction project as part of the campaign to protect and promote all heritage sites within the Kathmandu Metropolitan City and link them with tourism.
SINDHUPALCHOWK, Sept 11: The reconstruction of Bhote Koshi hydropower project has reached the last phase. Eighty percent of the reconstruction work has already been completed, and the project is preparing to go for commercial production from November.
