Asan shut to protest against mandatory PAN provision

KATHMANDU, Aug 10: Retailer shops in Asan, a market square in central Kathmandu, remained shut on Friday as a protest against the government’s decision to make Permanent Account Number (PAN) mandatory for financial transactions.

KATHMANDU, July 15: Inland Revenue Department (IRD) has said that it was positive about providing Permanent Account Number (PAN) to Indian laborers employed by Nepali construction sector.
