BEIJING (China), Oct 19: Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha has urged the international community to fulfill their obligations under the Paris Agreement including financing commitments. He underlined Nepal’s target of reaching a net zero carbon emission by 2045, five years ahead of the global timeline through eco-friendly strategies.

In its energy target, Nepal seeks to expand  clean energy generation from approximately 1400 MW to 15,000 MW by 2030. Of  the total  generation,  five to ten percent would be  generated from mini and micro-hydro power, solar and wind energy.
