LONDON, March 6: Oil prices are set to surge further this week due to delays to the conclusion of Iranian nuclear talks and the potential return of Iranian crude to global markets, which are already suffering from Russian supply disruptions, analysts said.

In this context, the market for petroleum products is so sensitive that fluctuations in the international market price may not take long to make a profit or loss in crores of rupees. Nepali private sector entrepreneurs are not in a position to take this risk.

After the increase in consumption, the management cost per liter has to be reduced. What does the NOC do?  What is the function of the Price Stabilization Fund?  Why not use it?  Shouldn't the tax levied by the government be reduced in such a short time? Why charge more than the cost price?
