KATHMANDU, Sept 16: The benchmark Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index hovered slightly in green in the opening hours after Tuesday’s trading session. However, extended profit booking pulled the index sharply lower in the afternoon where the index fell as much as 10 points. The index found some footing in the latter hours recouping some of the earlier losses but closed in the red nonetheless. Nepse fell 4.47 points at the session’s close to end at 1,536.04 points.

KATHMANDU, Aug 17: After opening slightly higher in the morning, the Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index pulled back towards the red to trade over 6 points lower at mid-day. However, the latter trading hours saw the index make a steady recovery to hover flat in the afternoon. A last hour surge finally helped the index register a gain of 10.75 points to close at 1,402.21 points.

KATHMANDU, Aug 16: A sharp fall in the morning saw the Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index sink over 27 points in the first few minutes of Sunday’s trading session. Some volatility ensued thereafter as the benchmark partially recouped earlier losses within the first half an hour of trading. The Nepse index hovered in the red after mid-day finally settling below the 1,400-point mark at 1,391.46 points. The day’s loss tally was recorded as 17.33 points.

KATHMANDU, Aug 13: Stocks began Wednesday’s trading on a negative note as the Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index dropped 10 points in the initial trading hours. Later on, the market tried to recoup its losses but it failed to sustain its quick recovery.

KATHMANDU, July 23 : Though some early selling pressure was visible, the stock market recouped its initial losses to trade in green by mid-day on Thursday. Thereafter, the Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index traded in green in the latter trading hours. Following the afternoon advance, the benchmark ended the day with a gain of 10.13 points at 1,442.61 points.

KATHMANDU, July 21: The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) opened the session slightly higher but gave up the gains quickly as the trading began. A recovery attempt saw the index turn green in the first hour but selling pressure after midday pushed the index towards red. At the close, Nepse fell 14.99 points to end Tuesday’s trading at 1,449.94 points.
