I have a list of medicines, some homeopathic, and others chemical based that I consume every day. Most of the time, they are scattered all over my room but I’ve never known why I need to rely on them. No matter how absurd it might sound, I actually don’t know why. I stand in front of my dressing table, and my eyes shift to the reflection of a medical gel. I find myself staring at it. It’s not easy for me to avoid all the medicines that I have lying in every corner of my room.

PALPA, June 7: As monsoon is just around the corner, almost all local units of Palpa have started purchasing the required stock of medicines for rain-induced diseases to be distributed to the locals.In November 2017, Tansen Municipality had purchased medicines worth Rs 705,000 and distributed to various health posts.

SIRAHA, April 17: A few days ago, Rameshwar Prasad Yadav, the in-charge of Majhaura Health Post of Nawarajpur Rural Municipality, was found checking the health of one and half years old Kritika Yadav by holding her wrist in his hand, trying to examine her pulse rate. He was not using even a stethoscope because the health post doesn't have one. The health post lacks other minor medical tools required for checking blood pressure, cough and other problems.

SIRAHA, March 16: Rambilas Yadav of Mirchaiya-8, Phulbariya sustained a deep cut to his hand while collecting fodder on Tuesday. He immediately rushed to a local health post for treatment.

JANAKPUR, Feb 20: After Janakpur-based Ramas Public Pharmacy was found to be selling medicines in half the rate of the existing market price, the district chapter of Nepal Chemist and Druggist Association had halted the supply of medicine to the drug store, arguing that it would render other pharmacies jobless.

KATHMANDU, August 16: Nepal Chemists and Druggists Association (NCDA) has provided health services in the flood-affected areas of Nepal. Issuing a statement on Tuesday, the association said that it had mobilized its zonal and district branches to provide health service to the flood-affected people immediately after the floods started.
