KATHMANDU, Oct 2: The Supreme Court has ordered the police to register a complaint and conduct necessary investigation into the incident involving the killing of a leader close to Netra Bikram Chanda-led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN).

KATHMANDU, Aug 7: The Accountability Watch Committee (AWC) has urged the National Human Rights Commission to conduct an independent and effective investigation into killing of outlawed Communist Party of Nepal leader Kumar Paudel and recommend prosecution of the perpetrators. It has also demanded that the report of the investigation into the killing be made public without further delay.

KATHMANDU, Aug 3: Preliminary investigations by the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) into the killing of Kumar Paudel, the Sarlahi district in-charge of the Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN), show a different picture from the government’s claim, said officials involved in the investigations.

KATHMANDU, June 24: Parliamentary State Affairs Committee has decided to hold discussions with the Ministry of Home Affairs over the killing of Kumar Paudel, the district in-charge of Sarlahi of the outlawed Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) in Sarlahi last week allegedly by police after taking him in captivity.
