KATHMANDU, Dec 15: Kathmandu Kings XI’s Irish all-rounder Kevin O’Brien produced a player-of-the-match performance to eliminate Pokhara Rhinos from the playoffs race in the eleventh match played during the ongoing Everest Premier League at TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Friday.

A popular player Kevin O’Brien became the first ever centurion from his nation Ireland after achieving the gallant feat in Ireland’s first ever Test match against Pakistan back in May. O’Brien had scored a match winning century against England in ICC World Cup 2011, which is arguably the biggest moment in Ireland cricket’s history. He arrived in Nepal on Wednesday with much fan fare to represent Kathmandu Kings Xi in the Everest Premier League (EPL) starting on Saturday.

KATHMANDU, Dec 7: Kathmandu Kings XI made the first foray in the ever increasing extravaganza of franchise cricket in Nepal with the announcement of signing with couple of big international stars Zimbabwean Sikandar Raza and Irish Kevin O’Brien for the upcoming third season of Everest Premier League (EPL) starting on December 8.
