KATHMANDu, August 4: With the formation of a new government, the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to study the detailed feasibility of the Kathmandu-Raxaul Railway has been stopped. The signing of the MoU has been postponed due to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s inability to appoint a new Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport.

KATHMANDU, Oct 6: The government has started holding consultation with the concerned stakeholders on the proposal sent by the Indian government in a bid to expedite the works of Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the proposed Kathmandu-Raxaul railway.
