KATHMANDU, August 7: Locals said that Kathmandu’s Kapan has been facing the problem of inundation due to the delay in the construction of a box culvert. They said that since the contractor could not complete the construction of the culvert on time and it is not clear how much time it will take more, there is no immediate solution to the inundation problem of Kapan. By mid-July this year, culverts 1400 meters in length should have been constructed, but only 160 meters have been constructed.

KATHMANDU, July 30: Nepal Police personnel and waste management team of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) have cleared garbage from the road after local residents blocked the road that was strewn with waste in Saraswatinagar area in Kapan on Saturday.

KATHMANDU, Sept 24: Dhanmaya Vishwakarma, 60, of Pathibhara Tol, Sattale, Kapan, Kathmandu, was crying inside her house. She was asking her husband, Mangale, to find their grandson and bring him back. “If he is not alive, I want to see his corpse for the last time,” she said.

KATHMANDU, Sept 22: A child has gone missing after falling into a sewer at Kapan of Kathmandu. The incident happened last night. The missing child is yet to be identified.
