KATHMANDU, Aug 1: Minister for Finance, Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat viewed that it was necessary to expand the network of women entrepreneurs' special industrial park.

DAMAK, Feb 19: The local government body has shown dissatisfaction on the matter of compensation for the construction of the China-Nepal Friendship Industrial Park in Damak. The body has demanded proper management of the squatters living in the area set aside for the industrial park.

DAMAK, March 28: A total 101 landowners have been provided compensation against land acquired for the construction of China-Nepal Friendship Industrial Park in Damak of Jhapa district.  Over Rs 100 million has been distributed in compensation so far.

DAMAK, Jan 20: Dissatisfied with the rate of compensation fixed by the local authorities, most locals have refused the compensation being provided for the land acquired for the Chinese-funded Nepal China Friendly Industrial Park in Damak, Jhapa district.
