KATHMANDU, Jan 23: The government has ensured resources of about Rs 15 billion for the purchase of chemical fertilizers for the next fiscal year 2024/25.

BANKE, JUNE 25 : Abdul Rais of Janaki Rural Municipality-5 is preparing to transplant paddy in his fields. He is compelled to plant paddy 2-3 days later than planned due to the unavailability of fertilizers. Similarly, Sarif Khan of the same village has not been able to transplant paddy saplings in his fields for the same reason.

WALING, June 19: Farmers in Syangja, who are facing shortage of chemical fertilizers, are happy with the news of availability of fertilizers starting Monday. GORKHA, Sept 13: Acute shortage of fertilizers during the peak season of farming has put farmers in Gorkha district in dilemma. The farmers are extremely worried over the lack of fertilizers after 23 agriculture cooperatives with license to distribute fertilizers to the farmers stopped supplying them. The cooperatives, which were selling fertilizers to local businessmen at higher rates, have stopped supplying fertilizers following a recent monitoring by the government.
