KATHMANDU, Sept 26: In the first two months of the current Fiscal Year (FY) 2023/24, Nepal has seen a notable influx of electric vehicles (EVs). In this period, a total of 898 four-wheeled EVs were imported, featuring various capacities.

KATHMANDU, March 24: In the first eight months of the current fiscal year, 2,200 units of electric vehicles (EVs) have been imported into Nepal. According to the data released by the Customs Department, 2,198 four-wheeled electric vehicles were imported in eight months of the current year.

KATHMANDU, June 5: In an apparent bid to face-save the Finance Minister Yubaraj Khatiwada, the Department of Customs (DoC) has claimed that the 93 electric vehicles imported in the country on the eve of of the new budget had received their customs clearance one week before the federal government unveiled the budget for the fiscal year 2020/21 in the parliament.
