KATHMANDU, Dec 20: At a time when the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is on the verge of split, the relationship between Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and the party's Executive Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal is getting worse as their talks in Khumaltar on Saturday morning failed to yield any desired outcomes. Relations between the two chairmen deteriorated further after Dahal rejected Oli's request to withdraw a political report submitted on November 13 and prepare a joint document at a meeting of the party Secretariat.
KATHMANDU, Nov 7:Five of the nine Secretariat members of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) have sought the consent of Prime Minister KP Oli, who is also the party’s chairman, to hold the Secretariat meeting at the earliest to resolve various differences seen within the party.
KATHMANDU, May 11: In what smacks of crony capitalism at work, ruling Nepal Communist Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has hosted a grand reception at the house of Niraj Gobinda Shrestha, one of the former owners of the Ncell telecommunications company. The party was organized on the occasion of Dahal and his wife Sita's 50th wedding anniversary.
