JUMLA: August 22: Security personnel have destroyed cannabis grown in an area around Khalanga, the district headquarters of Jumla. A joint team of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepal Army destroyed the marijuana that grew naturally there.

Thais flocked to a cannabis exhibition as interest and demand in the plant surges after the government unlocked hemp use in food and cosmetics in the latest move to promote a new cash crop.
