LONDON, Nov 1: Government level talks will be held between the UK and Nepal to discuss the demands of ex-Gurkha soldiers retired from the British Army.

KATHMANDU, Dec 20: The Covid-19 medical equipment support pledged earlier by the British Army to the Nepali Army has arrived in Kathmandu. The UK Royal Air Force (RAF) C-17 landed at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu on Monday with a medical equipment package.

KATHMANDU, August 18: Over 400 Nepalis were rescued by the British Army from Kabul, Afghanistan, on Tuesday. Along with Afghan refugees, Nepalis working in Kabul were rescued through an initiative of the British Army. They were taken to the UK and later sent to Nepal.

MYAGDI, May 15: With the goal of creating a new world record, Nirmal Purja has set out on a journey to climb all 14 mountains above 8000 meters, within a time span of just seven months. According to informed sources, Purja succeeded in climbing Mt Dhaulagiri (8167 meters), the seventh highest peak, in Myagdi’s Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality-4 from the southern side without supplemental oxygen on Sunday.

KATHMANDU, March 7: The United Kingdom is investing an extra £15 million to increase individual pensions to its  Gurkha soldiers by between 10 percent and 34 percent.
