KATHMANDU, March 21: Slogans were chanted in New Baneshwor against Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, when Prime Minister Dahal was going to attend the 58th International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination today, three youths chanted slogans against the prime minister.
A young man requested the police saying that he must be allowed to convey his words to PM Dahal. But when the police tried to nab the young man, he protested, chanting the slogan, “Death to terrorist Prachanda.”
Meanwhile, another young man chanted slogans saying, “the police cannot shut us for raising our voices.”
While the police were putting both the youths in the vehicle, both youths chanted slogans like “Death to Prachanda who killed the poor’, ‘stop price rise’, ‘worthless government be careful’, ‘youths are not for killing’, ‘there is no need for such a government’, ‘let’s unite the youths of 77 districts.’
Prime Minister Dahal reached the venue after the police detained the youth.
When PM Dahal was going to the event venue, a young man in front of him shouted the slogan, “Scrap the banks’ compound interest.” The police immediately arrested the youth.
