BAITADI, Sept 13: A youth died in a fatal knife attack last night in Darchula while police have rounded up three persons of the group involved. 

The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Kunwar, 22, of Api Municipality – 4. Kunwar died on his way to India for treatment after District Hospital Darchula referred the case. The Hospital source said the victim sustained deep cut injuries to his abdomen and he was bleeding profusely. 

A game of Deuda at Chapari of Api Municipality – 5 between two groups had ended up in a brawl on Monday night, it is learnt. 

The police have arrested Dhirendra Kunwar, 27, Ramesh Kunwar, 17 and Umesh Kunwar, 16, of Api Municipality – 4, said Inspector, Ranbahadur Chand, of District Police Office (DPO), Darchula. 

The police have filed a murder case against the three and launched further investigation into the incident. RSS
