POKHARA, Jan 31: Police have confiscated over a kilogram of gold from a youth, traveling from Kathmandu to Pokhara in a microbus. The youth has been identified as Ramesh Sunar, 25, of Pokhara Metropolis-15.
According to Police Spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sundar Tiwari, the police had been conducting a vehicle check after receiving a tip-off about gold being smuggled. They caught Sunar with over a kilo of gold at around 8PM on Saturday, DSP Tiwari said.
Green tea buds traded at Rs 1,500 a kilo
Sunar was caught with four biscuits of gold and checkbooks of different banks. He is currently under custody and being investigated, police said.
