The painting and sculptor exhibition ‘Pradarsani’ features six young artists’ creation that began on Wednesday at Nepal Art Council, Babarmahal.

And these artists exhibited their artwork with an aim to raise fund to help students of Save Our Soul (SOS) Village, Kavre where 20 percent of the sales will be donated to the same. The title of the exhibition, ‘Pradarsani’ literally means exhibition in Nepali, and has displayed the artist’s way of thinking and imagination through the means of colors and motifs on canvas.

Rabin has worked on the theme dream and using portrait of his aunt, friend and himself in different canvas he has explored his concept. He shared, “Dreams are the fuel and reason to keep us working. As we are living in the world where everything we see around us is a result from someone’s dream and any age group can have a dream.”

In his painting ‘I Dream’ he has placed the face of a person on the middle of the canvas and golden lines formed the background where those lines symbolized the dream of that person. Bibek and Suraj has depicted nature in their canvas. Meanwhile Roshan and Bipin’s painting are fusion of tradition and modern using motifs of various gods among others.

And Bipin has experimented with color black in canvas. There are three different canvases all painted pitch black where each canvas’s black color has come out from different sources such as black color of oil used in vehicle, black color came out after burning plastic and so on. To show the difference of the canvas he has also featured photographs of his process.

The exhibition that features young artists continues till July 15.
