KATHMANDU, Sept 19: Yeti Airlines has added third ATR 72-500 aircraft to its fleet. The aircraft has received 9N-ALN call-sign from Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, according to a statement issued by the private carrier.
"ATR 72-500 is a twin-engine turboprop aircraft manufactured by the French-Italian consortium -- ATR. It will be one of the youngest ATR 72s operating in Nepal," the airline said in the statement added that the aircraft was purchased from KF Turbo Leasing Limited.

The airline said that the new aircraft will help it to expand operations to Bhadrapur and Pokhara.
Yeti Airlines operate a fleet of three ATR 72 500 aircraft and six Jetstream 41 aircraft.
Similarly, its sister airline, Tara Air, operates two Dornier D228s and four DHC6 Twin Otter aircraft, according to the statement.
