According to Police, cadres of Youth Communist League (YCL) threw stones at the ambulance (Na 2 Cha 4488) which was heading to Bhartapur from Hetauda carrying a patient. [break]
Chitwan chapter of YCL enforced the indefinite district banda demanding for withdrawing the cases and the release its cadres who were arrested for collecting donation.
Police on Tuesday evening arrested six YCL cadres Uttam Gurung, Bharat Magar, Bishal Marahattha, Madhu Neupane, Manoj Kumar Sherpa and Rabi Parajuli on the charge of extortion here at Narayangadh.
Meanwhile, normal life in the district has been adversely affected since the Thursday morning due to the indefinite banda enforced by the YCL.
Due to the banda, transport services, educational institutions, factories and market places have remained closed in the district. However, vehicles are plying in the inner parts of the town despite the main road areas are deserted.
The YCL cadres have assembled at different places of the town to enforce the banda.
