KATHMANDU, Oct 20: Youth Association Nepal – a youth wing of CPN-UML – has welcomed the impeachment proposal tabled at the parliament against Chief Commission of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority, Lokman Singh Karki. 

Some 157 lawmakers from CPN-UML and CPN-Maoist Center tabled the impeachment motion against CIAA Chief Karki on Wednesday. 

Issuing a press release today, the YAN hailed the tabling of the proposal stating that appointing Karki, who played lead role to suppress the pro-republic demonstrators during the second people's movement in 2006 was a mockery of democracy. RSS
