Yalambar Park turns into fashion ground

DHARAN, Dec 25: Popcorn Entertainment organized Hipster Fashion Show at Yalambar Community Forest area, also known as Yalambar Park, in Dharan on Friday. Manju Bhandari Subedi, Deputy Mayor of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan, attended the event as the chief guest.

DHARAN, Dec 25: Popcorn Entertainment organized Hipster Fashion Show at Yalambar Community Forest area, also known as Yalambar Park, in Dharan on Friday. Manju Bhandari Subedi, Deputy Mayor of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan, attended the event as the chief guest. 


The show was a new experience for Dharan residents as it was held inside a community forest under the open sky instead of being hosted in a hotel. According to the organizers, the event aimed at spreading awareness about global warming and thus forest became their ultimate venue for the show. The fashion show was organized with the slogan ‘Save Environment’.

The show began with the students of Dharan Montessori confidently walking on the ramp wearing cultural and fusion dresses. It was followed by models in casual winter wears and models dressed in sports theme. 


The show also had a special sequence with the theme of forest where models displayed Stone Age and agricultural age through their attires. The sequence was designed by Bilop Rai, who is also the proprietor of Dewang Fashion House. Miss Nepal 2014 Subin Limbu walked the ramp as the showstopper.
