MAHENDRANAGAR (Dhanusha), Feb 13: Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJP-N)'s parliamentarian Saroj Kumar Yadav has been elected the Speaker of Province-2 unopposed.
Secretary at Parliament-Secretariat Bamshiraj Poudel shared that Yadav was elected unopposed as he was the only candidate for the post.

The official announcement of his election to the post, however, would be made on Wednesday.
Secreatry Poudel said, "Yadav was the lone candidate to file candidacy till the stipulated time of 2.00 pm today. The province assembly meeting to take place on Wednesday will officially make the announcement".
The province assembly meeting has been set for 1.00 pm on Wednesday afternoon.
