KATHMANDU, Oct 21: A supplementary application has been filed at the Supreme Court (SC) seeking a halt on the pay and perks and other government incentives that suspended Chief Commissioner of the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) is enjoying.

Advocate Om Prakash Aryal today filed a writ petition seeking a stay order on the pay and perks that Karki has been enjoying as CIAA chief.

“Suspended Karki’s pay, perks including security personnel and government quarters should be halted,” reads the application.

While the Karki’s case is sub judice, if his pay and perks that Karki are not halted right away, it might adversely impact the judicial proceedings and help conceal the evidences.

In the application, the petitioner has demanded an immediate halt on Karki’s pay perks and other government incentives arguing that such facilities, unless stopped right away, will encourage him to leak state’s privacies, engage in acts of treason and other criminal activities against the nation.
