Head of the project, Shyamji Bhandari, shared that the work by the joint venture construction company, Songda Kalika, has recommenced after the concerned bodies expressed their commitment to make the payment due for the work through the European Bank.

Under Package I, so far only 35 percent progress has been achieved. Under this package, the construction of two diversion tunnels has been completed to divert the flow of water from the Seti river for the construction of a 140-meter high dam of the project.
