GAURADAHA, Jan 1: A woman has died after being attacked by an elephant in Shiv Satakshi Municipality-11 of Jhapa. The incident took place at around 2:00 AM.
Krishna Maya Bhandari was attacked as she tried to escape from the elephants that were bringing her house down. Seriously injured in the attack, Krishna Maya died during treatment at a local hospital.

The elephant also attacked her husband Shanti Ram Bhandari and seriously injured him. He is undergoing treatment.
A group of four elephants including a baby elephant had entered the village from the nearby jungle at around 11 PM on Saturday.
