Woman found dead in Surkhet

BIRENDRANAGAR, July 24: A woman was found dead at Neware area in Birendranagar Municipality-12 here in the district on Friday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Kalpana KC, 29, of Dailekh’s Narayan Municipality-1.

It is learnt that she had been staying in a rented room in Birendranagar in the district.

Police have launched a thorough investigation into the incident, according to Ram Prasad Gharti, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Surkhet. Preliminary investigation has shown that she was murdered.
