BAJURA, Aug 25: A woman died during childbirth at District Hospital Bajura on Sunday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Bashanti Nepali of Badimalika municipality-7. She died of excessive bleeding, according to doctors involved in the treatment.

Doctors Durga Maharjan and Tikaram Rai used a vacuum device to guide the infant out of the birth canal following the mother's inability to deliver the baby normally, according to Dr. Rohit Giri.

The deceased's family blamed negligence on the part of the doctors involved in her treatment for her death. 'Doctors did not show concerns in her treatment,' said deceased's relative Prakash Bahadur Nepali.

Basanti is survived by her husband, who is in Kuwait for a job and a three-year-old son.
